I make sure that everything runs smoothly for the doctor. I make sure that the patients are seen by the doctor and taken care of by the doctor, and I do everything that the doctor needs me to do to carry out his plan for them to get better. I make sure that the paperwork is taken care of, and I make sure the animal’s taken care of. If the animal needs anything, I either do it myself or I find somebody to help me do it, but the doctor comes to me and asks me to take care of it. The doctor diagnoses and lays out the plan and he expects me to carry it out and make sure the animal’s treatments get taken care of and make sure that the animal is treated in a timely fashion. And just to be their other - - like you said the right hand man. Without us, and it sounds funny, but without us a lot of stuff wouldn’t get done. It’s like being a nurse in a regular human hospital. We take care of what the doctors can’t. The doctors have to see the patients and diagnose them and, you know, speak to other doctors and confer and, you know, read the books to figure out exactly hey what is this, and it’s our jobs to make sure that the animal is treated and that the animal is comfortable and that the animal gets everything they need to get to so that they can get better and not be painful.
